European Transport F.A.Q.

Q: What are the terms for collection and delivery?

A: Under 3 cubic metres: ₤70.00; Over three cubic metres: ₤40.00. All collections must be from one address; all deliveries must be to one address; collection and delivery to kerbside only (to your front door, first floor only). All exceptions by prior arrangement and will be charged accordingly.

Q: Who will pack my items?

A: It is the clients responsibility to pack all items. Furthermore, all items must be packaged and clearly labeled with the destination address. Upon receipt of your shipment at our depot, we will consolidate the goods (palette and shrink-wrap), for forwarding to the destination address.

Q: Do you supply packing materials?

A: Yes. Please refer to packing supplies for more details.

Q: If I need any extra packing materials at the last minute, do the movers supply any?

A: Yes. We carry some packaging materials on our truck for purchase.

Q: How do you know the difference between my furniture and someone else's furniture?

A: All items must be packaged and clearly labeled with name, contact number, and destination address.

Q: Do you protect any of the furniture while in transit?

A: All loose furniture will be protected with packing materials supplied by the company. (We do not accept responsibility for damage during transit.)

Q: Are the items insured while in transit?

A: We do carry CMR insurance for goods in transit (commercial), however household goods and private property are not covered by this insurance. (It is recommended that you purchase transit insurance through your own insurance provider.)

Q: Do you transport cars?

A: We do not transport vehicles of any kind.

Q: If I have more furniture than I expected how would I be charged?

A: You will be charged by the actual volume of the final load. (Final price to be determined at depot after loading.).

Q: How do you charge?

A: Charges are determined by cubic metre for household and personal belongings. For heavier commercial goods, price may be assessed by weight rather than volume.

Q: Do you apply any extra charges?

A: The only extra charges are VAT, port fees, and delivery and collection.

Q: How does payment work?

A: UK personal check, cash, or bank draft paid in advance. (Goods will not be released until payment clears bank account.)

Q: How long will my items take to get to my destination?

A: Five to seven days, depot to depot.

Q: What if I don’t have an address where I am moving?

A: Your goods will be stored in our destination depot until a delivery address is available.

Q: Is there a depot fee?

A: There is no depot fee for items being stored in transit.

Q: Is there a time limit for storage?

A: No. However, fees apply for long term storage
